Projects I Have Completed In The Past Week

I have completed a scarf and a cat toy. The cat toy was my first project using fiberfill stuffing! My two boys just love it. They are around 7 month old kittens named Homer & Garfield. I refer to them as the boys.

Finished the Belt I Had Been Working On

I finally finished the belt I had been working. I think it turned out beautiful even if I did make it. I am proud of my work. This was the first belt I have done.

Apple Coasters for my Mom

I am working on a set of Apple coasters for my mom. The pattern is an original from a Crochetville member. I am going to have 6 coasters done in time for her to use them on Thanksgiving day. Her kitchen is done in apples.

My Newest Project

Well my latest project I am working on is a dog sweater for my dog Sheridan. This project is going quicker than I expected it to. Which I am glad of. I finally had to stop working on it since I kept mixing up which color went on which row. Since I am so tired. I love how it is turning out though. I will post pictures when the project is complete.

Help Request Donating Crocheted Afghan/Caps/Scarves for Cancer Patients

I talked to the nurses at the infusion center at my husband's doctor's office yesterday. The doctor's office is filled with friendly caring staff who helped his time having chemo treatments easier. The nurses at the infusion center loved the idea of me bringing in caps, scarves and afghans/lapghans for the chemo patients.

Some patients who are at the infusion center are there around 4-6 hours 3-4 times a week. Patients who get chemo therapy often take naps during the time they receive chemo and cover up with blankets provided by the doctor's office. I though they would feel loved and special if they had their own crocheted blanket/cap/scarf.

If you would be interested in helping me make the caps/scarves/afghan/lapghans for these people please email me.

I would appreciate any help I could get and so would these cancer patients. Any color would be fine. Seeing how the patients are men and women.

Christmas Projects

I have several projects I am wanting to do for Christmas gifts. I have two of them as WIP. I think the afghan I am working on is coming out beautifully. I was not sure how the afghan would look since it is my first afghan! As soon as I get all of my Christmas projects done I will post pictures.

I'm New To Crocheting & Blogging

I started learning how to crochet at the end of 2007 and got the hang of it in May 2008. I did my first project in May 2008. I have had the desire to learn to crochet for around 10 years. I had difficulty learning the craft. It seemed to take me forever to 'train' my hands. I learned from the DVD "I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting In Motion". I talked my husband into buying it for me. I got frustrated because I had difficulty learning the slipknot. So my husband Max learned from the DVD and then taught me! To this day I keep telling him I want something crocheted by him. He is not interested in crocheting right now.
